How does Kamagra work?Kamagra is available in pill form, and is meant to be taken orally. The drug absorbs quickly into the blood stream, within just 30 to 60 minutes. The sildenafil citrate acts to inhibit the activity of phosphodiesterase type (PDE5), an enzyme that is mainly found in the penis. Because PDE5 is inhibited, the penis muscle is allowed to remain in a relaxed state for a longer duration of time. This means that a greater amount of blood is allowed to flow into the cavernous tissue, resulting in an erection. It is important to note that Kamagra can only work in conjunction with your body’s natural chemicals to generate an erection when you are already in a state of sexual arousal. The medication is not going to work as expected if you are not aroused. DosageThe usual recommended dose of Kamagra is a 50 mg pill to be taken one hour before you indulge in sexual activity. In case you are above 65 years of age or suffer from any liver or kidney diseases, your physician may recommend that you begin with a less intense dose of a 25 mg pill. This medication is not supposed to be taken more than once in a period of 24 hours. The overall dose in one day should not be allowed to exceed 100 mg. It is not meant to be used if you are already taking other drugs containing nitrates. Some of the common nitrates containing medicines include nitroglycerin, Isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, transdermal nitroglycerin ointments or patches and sublingual nitroglycerin spray medications or tablets. You can also find nitrates in amyl nitrate or poppers. If you are not aware if the medications you are currently taking contain nitrates or not consult your doctor or pharmacist. This medication is not meant to be used by women. In men who suffer from cardio vascular disease, there is a high risk of cardiac arrest with use of this medication.
